The Reason Germany is involved in WWI:

Germany got involved in this war because of many different reasons. One big reason is because of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Germany had formed an alliance with Austria-Hungary and Russia at the time, and the Archduke of Austria-Hungary was going to Serbia to meet with some people in a counsel. Well, a group called "The Black Hand" in Serbia, didn't really like that idea. The day the Archduke was riding through town to the meeting, the black hand divised a plan to kill him, After doing so, Austria-Hungary was enraged and called upon Germany to help them.
Another reason Germany is involved is the Unification of Germany on January 18, 1871. Where Chief Minister Otto von Bismark had unified the German states into one nation-state, creating the German Empire. Bismark had risen to great power. Germany had started to become very powerful, causing Britain to become jealous of their rising power. Eventually, they had declared war on Germany.

Our Reaction To The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand:

Germany was Allied with Austria-Hungary making our reaction almost the same as Austria-Hungarys, we were Angry. The assassination was a major factor in the start of this war. Serbia had attacked Austria-Hungary, enraging Germany and causing us to join the battle.

Germany's Battle Plan:

Germany's battle plan was the Schlieffen plan. The Schlieffen plan was devised by Count Alfred von Schlieffen. Schlieffen had planned to move german troops into France, attack them from behind, work as quickly as possible to defeat them, then go back over to Russia and fight them. Well that Plan didn't go as expected. Once German troops had invaded France the plan was beginning to work until the French hadcome behind the Germans and the Germans didn't really have a chance and Began to draw back, the plan had failed.

Propaganda Poster:

This is the Propaganda poster a picked. The meaning of this poster is quite simple, it's displaying an American soldier stopping a German soldier from hurting someone. It also says BUY U.S. GOVERNMENT BONDS, meaning, help pay war costs, Germany's destroying everything. This is not true. Germany has in fact destroyed buildings, equipment, etc. but, the other countries have as well.

Russia's Exit and U.S.A's Entrance into the War:

Germany's reaction to Russia leaving and the U.S. entering the war was that, well, we were mad. Russia was basically defeated already, and just had dropped out of the war, we thought, well, we have the upper hand now. Then the U.S. entered, we knew this wasn't going to turn out to well. The U.S. had a well structured military, a powerful arsenal, and we really didnt have a chance. That is when we wrote the Treaty of Versaille.

Germany's Reaction the the Treaty of Versaille:

The Treaty put all blame on Germany, we were extremely mad, we didnt do all the damage, not near all of it. We are being forced to pay $30 Billion. Germany, is not to blame for this mess, although we may have sparked this war, all the other countries helped in damaging property. This is still an unfair treaty.
